But that still dosn't address the main problem that I have and that is
essentially if I want to dump the rendered text the actual links will
not show up there. Therefore if you try to go back and read it you
have nothing

It essentially creates a list of links that appear in a numbered way
and displays the actual URL that those links pointed to.
