The add bookmark function, ESC a, seems to be broken in w3m-0.1.9.
Doing the following
w3m http://www.salon.com/tech/
ESC a
brings up the "Register to my bookmark" screen just fine, but then
moving the cursor to the "[ADD]" field and typing ENTER displays a
screen full of garbage, the top of which is:
^B^P^E^R@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@?Ã^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^B^DÈ@^@^Zè^@^@^A
^@^@^A^@^@^@^@@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^D^@^@^AP^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^A>(^P^@^@^A^@^@^@
$RECOVER_END$^@^@^@^@^@^@
$PFA_COUNTER$^@^@^@^@^@^@^Q$PFA_COUNTER_END$^@^@^@^@^@^@^F$DATA$^@^@^@^@^@^K$SHO
$SHORTBSS$^@^@^@^@^@^E$BSS$^@^@^@^@^@^@^K$GDB_DEBUG$^@^@^@^@
$GDB_SYMBOLS$^@^@^@^@^@^@
$GDB_STRINGS$^@^@^@^@^@^@^E$ANS$^@^@^@^@^@^@^D$CI$^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^B0^@^@^@^@^@^
The status line at the bottom still shows "Viewing <w3mbookmark>".
Typing "ESC b" to view the bookmarks goes to the "Bookmarks" screen, but
the new bookmark is not there.
This all works fine in w3m-0.1.8.
