[w3m-dev-en 00121] problem launching external browser?

Hello,

I'm having a problem with w3m not launching the external browser
correctly. It seems to send the hostname/TLD correctly, but not the
complete URL to the external program. For example, if I'm at
slashdot.org, and I do "M" to launch another window (I hacked a shell
script to launch another instance of w3m in another xterm), it'll send
'http://slashdot.org' to the new instance, rather than, say
'http://slashdot.org/submit.pl'.

Any ideas?
