Actually, that question isn't negligible. My configure patch merely
defines USE_SYSMOUSE if we're on FreeBSD. The sysmouse support I
provided works for FreeBSD 3.x/4.0. I don't know about 2.2.x, since
I don't have console access to such a system anymore.

On systems that use the pcvt(4) console driver rather than syscons(4),
the sysmouse support should fail transparently, i.e. it simply
doesn't do anything.

Note that I have actually tested my sysmouse changes only on FreeBSD
4.0 with syscons.
